Recently, our very own Makoto Kishi paid a visit to a group of young respectable individuals to share his story on academic pursuance and provide reassurance that their hard work and perseverance will gradually lead them to a successful future. These students at H.O.P.E. have already gone above and beyond their academic curriculum and sacrifice their time to make a positive influence in nearby communities.
H.O.P.E. (Helping Our Planet Everyday) is a high school youth volunteer organization comprised of students from South High School in Torrance, along with Peninsula and PV high schools in Palos Verdes. Their amazing resume ranges from environmental contributions to civic promotions, including: gardening work for Tree Musketeers in El Segundo, providing and serving meals for children at the Toberman Neighborhood Center in San Pedro, and assisting with the My Wishlist Foundation’s Bowling for Patients event and the L.A. Marathon.
We’re honored that you invited us to speak with your amazing group. We wish everyone the best in their academic careers, and hope to hear more about your philanthropic endeavors!
